Medical counseling is a process through which Medical Students are allotted a seat (like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, B.Sc. Nursing, MD/MS, MDS etc.) based on their NEET (UG) in medical colleges scores, preferences, and category.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organisation under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - (NEET) is an Indian nationwide entrance examination conducted for medical aspirants enabling them to seek admissions to medical courses across different institutes of the country.

DGHS (The Directorate General of Health Services) on behalf of the MCC will conduct counselling for the 15% All India Quota and all seats of Deemed universities, Central universities, seats of ESIC & AFMC/, Delhi University (DU), Central Institutes, AIIMS & JIPMER.
